David is a naturalist, writer, broadcaster, speaker, photographer, wildlife tour leader and educationist.
Many of of us will also know him as the Urban Birder encouraging people to get connected to nature on their own doorsteps through TV, articles and talks.
In this trip Crees has teamed up with David to create a tour of Peru, one of the best locations for birding on the planet.
Led by David and leading bird guide Jose Luis Avendano, together they will take you on a journey through this fascinating country full of incredible scenery, culture and wildlife.
During this tour, you will stay at various lodges and hotels, Casa Andina in Cusco and Lima, Tierra Viva in Machu Picchu, Pararitampu in the Sacred Valley as well as Cock of the Rock Lodge in the Cloud Forest, the Manu Learning Centre, in Manu - all these lodges have en-suite private bathrooms and hot water.
We have twin or double shared rooms with en-suite private bathrooms and hot water.
Single rooms can also be booked but single supplement applies.
Communication is limited in Manu, there is wifi access between 7-9pm daily at the Manu Learning Centre only.
The tour starts in Lima on the 30th August 2020.

Fly from the capital Lima to Cusco in the high Andes of Peru. Spend the day acclimatising to the altitude.
Day trip to this beautiful lake south of Cusco. Spend the day circulating the lake uncovering an array of birdlife. Overnight in Cusco
Take to journey to Machu Picchu by road to Ollantaytambo and then on by train - a fantastic journey taking in some of the spectacular scenery of the sacred valley. Head out that afternoon to take in some of the urban birding around Aguas Calientes
Rising early to get in some birding pre-dawn before heading to see the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu with our guide. Have lunch up there before catching the train down to Ollantaytambo, overnight at Hotel Pakaritampu.
Today journey overland from the Sacred Valley to the Cloud Forest. Travelling through varying ecosystems from high Andes, elfin and cloud forest along the Manu Road which will reveal some incredible bird life.
Spend the day in the Cloud Forest taking a magical trip to the Cock of the Rock Lek to watch this magnificent bird.
Today travel from the Cloud forest down to lowland Amazon heading the the research centre of Crees, the Manu Learning Centre.
Stay for the next few days exploring the rainforest and all the wildlife there. Take walks out along the 25 km of trails at the lodge with your guide but also alongside some of the scientists and researchers to learn more about the conservation and community work. There will be workshops and talks to get involved in as well to really get a deeper more meaningful experience.
Travel back from the Manu Learning Centre to Cusco.
Transfer from your hotel to Cusco airport for your flight back to Lima and then home.
